FUSION NOW General Assembly and Renewed Board of Directors

On 12th May 2026, members of the FUSION NOW Association gathered in San Donato Milanese, Italy, for the General Assembly, marking another important step in strengthening Europe’s fusion energy ecosystem.

The meeting was an opportunity to take stock of progress across the Association's activities, align on strategic priorities, and reinforce their shared ambition: accelerating the development and deployment of fusion technologies as a key pillar of the clean energy transition.

During the General Assembly, members elected the new Board of Directors for the 2026–2028 mandate: Marco Palmero (Ansaldo Nucleare), María Teresa Domínguez Bautista (Empresarios Agrupados Industriales), Alessandra Di Bastiano (ENEA), Francesca Ferrazza (Eni), Ambrogio Fasoli (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne), Sven Wegener (Framatome GmbH), Lucio Milanese (Proxima Fusion), Antoine Loidreau (Thales), and Eleonora Viezzer (University of Seville).

On 22nd May 2026, the Board of Directors re-elected Francesca Ferrazza (Eni) as President of FUSION NOW, continuing to guide the Association's efforts at a pivotal moment for fusion energy in Europe.
